Still one more week to go for Olympics 2008 to kick start. All preparations are ready and all sports persons are well prepared to face the challenges. Many countries are expecting this event a lot amidst of Terrorist attacks, Natural disasters and so on. Each and every citizen of the respective countries are expecting their country to win more medals in this competition. I think many of us are well known about the Olympic morale.

I want my fellow bloggers who are from various countries to share their thoughts about this event. And also share that how many medals you are expecting from your country. We will see that whether it's coming true or not.

As far as security is concerned,I think it will be fine.I will be pleasantly surprised if India bags a gold.

This is a country that is obsessed with cricket. So unless they introduce cricket in the Olympics don't expect any medals.
Never been quite a fan of the Olympics. Apart from Formula 1, I have no other interest in sports. If I have some time to kill, I'll definitely try and watch the Beijing Olympics.
I'm suffocated by the amount of exams I have! Hope to find some time to indulge myself in other activities.
I dont' know about India but the US is going to have a tough competition against China. Hopefully Russia & Germany will slip through for more medals as less pressure for them. I guess India can win a Cricket medal, nehi?

I think I will censor it by not watching it.

Investigation about the fact that construction companies cut the corners for so many schools in poor area in Sichuang (following the devastating earthquake)? Closed. Everything was good and done according the book...
But schools in more rich areas still stand...
Officials there are offering money to the parents if they sign a statement (to make it simple, just shut your mouth).
If you publish pictures of the devastating area, you are jailed.
No waves for the Olympic Games...
Even the IOC is in someways, an accomplice.
So yes... I will censor the games.

I heard India's boxing team is really strong. All the best to you guys! I would be looking out for China. THey did REALLY well overall in the last olympics.
