** Blogging : Is it the right place to express our thoughts openly?

Now a days blogging is becoming very popular and mostly many people have started blogging today. But the main problem is how far this blogging world is giving freedom to write and to express our thoughts to this outside world. I don't know about other countries, but I am ready to talk about India. Here in India the freedom to write and the freedom to speak is really less. If we start to write any thing bad about politicians or some other thing means, then by the next second itself police will come and catch us regardless of not knowing any thing. This is the reason why many people are not interested to talk about the national issues here in India. Even though if we talk there is no use, that is secondary case. My point is if there is no freedom to do the thing whatever we like means, then what's the use of living in a country. So from this the politicians are concluding that "We will do whatever we like and we don't want any one to criticize us".

Recent issue : In India one boy wrote in his blog that "I hate these so and so poli***ns". Then using the IP address the police tracked him and he is arrested.

This is the reason i put this post here. You people just tell whether blogging is it really the right media to express our thoughts openly to this outside world.

India is one of the most intolerant countries in the world. No one will accept this though.

i believe this is a great place for expressing our views. even with intolerant politico environment anonymous blogging is a key.

there is a lot of ways we can make blogging more anonymous thus not getting caught to authorities. :)

@Selerines: I'm facing some issues with my blog template thus I have removed all links to other sites. I'll add you back soon as i rectify the problems

Shiva... Sir (as you wrote to me - before, you called me Franck).
Your post about freedom is a good one especially now with China Olympic Games.
Obviously in India, you have some concerns too about freedom...According your post.
I put a post about a journalist kicked by the Chinese police force and your comment looks like to excuse the Chinese.
I don't know if it was a joke or not.
But better you explain yourself.
You don't know me.
I suffered in the past because freedom.
When I say I suffered, I mean I lost family. Do you know that feeling Shiva... Sir?
I was so shock about your comment.
In one hand, you put a post about freedom in your blog and in another hand, you put your comment in my blog, excusing Chinese.
In which world are you?
I am very angry.
So, don't erase my comment and be a man, answer, and let my comment in your post.
You are much younger than me, but when I was your age, I had much more experience than you. And I fought about freedom.
Think twice before you want to blog something about freedom...
I did my job about freedom even though the result is peanut. But I lost blood and family.
Are you qualified to talk about freedom?
Are you qualified to talk as your comment in my blog?
I believe, it must be somewhere, a misunderstanding.
So, I give you "freedom" to answer here and in my blog, Shiva...Sir...
I sincerely hope that it was a misunderstanding on my side...

I think because my passion and temper, I went a little bit too far with my previous comment.
Nobody is perfect :-)
I am sure it was a misunderstanding from the beginning.
So my apologies.

@Franck : Hello Franck sir.... How are you? Its so sad to hear that news you lost your family and so on because of similar problems. I can able to feel your pain, but at the same time I don't know why you are this much angry at me?

Your post depicted that journalist kicked off in China by Police. There I am supported that Chinese police. If lakhs and lakhs of people are urging at an important event, then its not possible for any one to control that. Because the police too are human beings. If similar incident happens in some other country means what they will do my dear friend?

This whole world is filled with terrorism. Are you aware of it? Now itself so many problems are going on in Olympics. Here I am not trying to support China or any other country. I am just saying what I feel in my heart. Don't mistake me for my words. If in this terrorism world, many people are hurrying and not cooperating for an important event means, then what they will do? Then how it's possible to control the crowd tell me my friend?

If you are in the position of Police what you will do? As a journalist we only should cooperate, to make the event as an successful one. If we itself are not bothering about that means then what's the use?

At the same time you misunderstood my post. Here I am talking about freedom in Blogging world. I am not talking about general freedom. I don't know whats the reason for misunderstanding me this much. Freedom comes in various kinds my dear friend.

Here I am not fully blaming the journalists. This is the only way what police can do. In that much massive crowd it's not possible to say each and every person that please cooperate with us.

You tell me Franck, what you will do if you are in the position of Police? They are not mad to simply to do such things. Olympics is such a big event, so no one will try to spoil the name of it.

I posted the comment about what I just felt in my heart. So if you feel that I am right accept it, otherwise let us continue our debate here.

Have a nice day my dear friend....
