World : Nude Beach

While i was checking the ibnlive.com, i saw this news. The thing that we are going to discuss here is Nude Beach in California. Because of some problems like sexual harassment, they are going to make the clothing compulsory in that beach. In countries like India and so on, many people won't like these things because of cultural constraints and so many practical problems. I don't know what others think about this issue. Now my questions are,

Do you all think that this kind of things in public places will make others to feel in a wrong way, which in turn will stimulate them to get involved in wrong doings?

Do you all like these kind of public places to hang on?

Is it needed?

Watch this video. See what they are saying...

Don't forget to comment in my previous post. I want suggestions from you people to improve my blogging. So don't miss it....

It's been there for 20 yrs, why didn't govt take action all these yrs?
I love to admire nature, so when so many good places are their to hang out, then why do i go to this beach, which isn't that attractive.

Being nude isn't that fine in public places :)

More openness might lead to less wrong things, provided that the society is such...

This might not be the case in our context, as there are many things as you said, culture, blah blah blah, etc., are there.

Only here in India we think it is a sin , crime and we think bad, but there they take it casual,Its simply there own interest and ppl who like go there go, and ppl who don't like stay away. Thats it.

Do that in a country where Islam is the official religion and you'll find yourself in the front page news. Then you'll find yourself behind bars and being harassed by the police. Perhaps to us Asian in particular, most of us are sensitive about revealing a certain amount of skin/going nude in the public due to religious beliefs and our sense of humility.

Nimal you are correct.

Why are you so afraid about nudity and sex? These are natural things. Get out of the Indian mentality and be open. Nude beaches are common in developed countries. That is why these countries are called developed.

Only in under developed countries like India superstition and narrow mindedness has made everything taboo.

There is nothing wrong about nude beaches. No one is forcing people to go to them.

A nude beach is NOT a public place. It is a place specially designated for people to use the beach unclothes. How can it be wrong to do something in the place meant for it? It is like me saying that you shouldn't sleep in your bedroom because I don't like it.

This kind of American decision makes me laugh! It is not a question of protection against harassing but a return of religious morals. It is increasingly common to the USA. In France total nudity is prohibited into public, but there are many places where it is possible to be naked all the day. In fact private places banish all clothing. On the other hand the naked tits are authorized on the beaches everywhere in France, and that appears normal to us. It would be the opposite which would be shocking!

My country is the same with yours, had a lot of cultural constraints and something called "thuần phong mỹ tục" (like: good habits, good customs, good seeing, etc...) Many stricted minds dont wanna change, dont wanna advence. But, if I were there, could not I can uncloth, dare you Selerines?

Well, people aren't born in their clothing. Being naked is only too natural. For some reason us humans thought some parts of our bodies were inappropriate, but I think that it should be up to them weather or not they want to wear clothing on the beach. I have wonder why people wear clothes a few time before.

@Rachel : Hmmm ya nice point....

@Nimal : False assumption.... Who said like that? So when all the people goes nakedly on the roads means, then there will be no any rape cases ha? This is what you are saying right? More openness will not lead to less wrong doings, it will just lead to increase in wrong doings. Your point may be correct for some other practical things, but not for these type of things dude....

@Hari : Only here in India we think it is a sin , crime and we think bad. On what basis yuo are telling this. There are almost around 175 countries in this world. So except India remaining countries are appreciating these type of things ha? This is what you are trying to say right? It's not like that da.

You tell what's the need for nuditiy in public places?

@Marc : Nude beach is common to all. It's not designated to particular people. At the same time, i am not afraid of nudity and sex. Those things are not a big deal for me.

Nude beaches are common in developed countries. That's ok. So if we all become open minded and if one nude beach is here means, then India will become eligible to attain the developed countries position ha? See marc don't think me in a way that i am narrow minded and having cheap mindset. Even me too like going around some nice places and to spend some time with my partner. But in order to spend some nice time and to wonder about nature, these kind of public places are not needed. This will lead to so many problems. If we Indians are narrow minded means, then why they are making clothing as compulsory in that beach. I pointed out clearly, it's because of sexual harassment and so on, they are making it compulsory for all. Now tell me who is narrow minded? If they are broad and open minded means then why these type of incidents are happening there? What's the reason for this?

Answer this question,
What's the need for nudity in a public place?

I am not supposed to tell that you should not sleep in your bed room. But i am having the rights to tell that you should not do this in public place.

Indian mindset may sound bad, but it is good. Even though it may contain some stupid superstitious things in it , we should try to see it from a different point of view. Then we all will realize the value of it.

Wait for my next post!!!

@Sang : Nah nah!!!!

@Gwendal : Ya fine.... Developed countries right?

@Henry : Being naked is natural. Ya nice point... So from this what you are telling is "You like the natural things very much right?" Fine answer this question. Are you ready to be like that till your lifetime? It's natural na.... Then whats the difference between ancient and modern people? Hmmmmm!!!!

If there is sexual harassment, it on behalf of the “clothed” people. They come to observe naked people by vice… But, as usual, one prefers to prohibit a practice which disturbs morals rather than those which lead astray this practice.

its more of a cultural thing really. in cultures where nudity is normal (like most european and american countries) i personally think that it will not stimulate people to do wrong.

in consevative countries however where nudity is not allowed, then, the mere sight of these nude bodies may stimulate them to do wrong.

just a thought really.

Ladies from part of Indonesia doesn't wear tops, that's normal to them... here in CA, most ladies you see had these big, silicone boobs and wear no bra, wether it's appropriate or not, civil or not- still I remain conservative :)

Hi Shiva :-)
I will tomorrow.
About your question in your post:

1 - You have some personal points of view, according your answers to your comments. Why don't you put it first into your post? You know what I mean...

2 - Concerning the point in your post, it is like you want to compare apples with buildings. All, as you know, depend on the culture. What is accepted here, will not been there. So it is useless, according me, to compare what in that country people used to do and blah blah blah.

3 - I agree with Gwendal about American people.

You won't have an answer.

Anyway, keep going :-)
Just try to put more of yourself in your posts... Not in your answers to the comments :-)
What ever, I will be back :-)
Thanks

Just to follow the comment from "the dong". Foreigners should respect the culture and habits of the countries they are visiting... Unfortunately, it is not always the case...

If I thought I could get away with it, I'd be nude all day, lol. On the other hand, sexual harassment is a terrible problem here. I cannot even cover myself head to toe without a man trying to find his way into my pants. The only time I feel safe is when I am with my husband, who by the way is a 250 lb muscle-bound beast. It's one reason why I married him. :P

America has many kinds of people, those who are peaceful and those who would rather stab you in the face then respect you. I am assuming that the two have started to collide at this beach in CA. It's a sad thing that in a country where we are supposed to have many freedoms these criminals are trying to destroy it.

Our problems are not with morality. We have very many moral people who respect the human body even when it is unclothed. The problem is with the disrespectful and hateful people in our society who love to intimidate others to get their own way and to act out because of their own insecurities. I'm not saying I'd be comfortable at a nude beach, but since it is there, the people who are comfortable should be respected. It is their bodies and they deserve to have the utmost respect for them. It is a basic human right to have love for your body and to demand respect for it, clothed or unclothed.
