Our Indian politicians as usual have started a new unnecessary controversy. The controversy is IPL Cheer leaders are spoiling the Indian culture. I don't know why the politicians are creating these type of useless problems in our country rather than doing some thing useful for our people and country. I don't know why they are seeing the cheer leaders from sex point of view. Friends here you pen down your views about this controversy and share your thoughts.

@Gauda : Ha ha.... Cool buddy....
Hey come on buddy , cheer leaders are necessary , and they don't spoil the Indian culture , simply the politicians are there to gain popularity by creating such kind of issues.More over there are a lot of many scenes in movies which are more horrible than the photos which you have displayed.
Our govt definetly knew that cheer leaders from others countries would dress like this. Then why the hell give the permission? or else they should have alloted Indian gals if they go for culture.
See People like Gowtham obviously need cheer leaders, who are hot hot chicks!!!! ;D
ROFL...
@Meyya : Welcome to Selerines World meyye.
Ya dude... Am not standing against cheer leaders. Even me too like that... But if they change the dressing style means it will be so fine. Apart from that nothing is wrong......
Keep in touch here meyya.
Add my link into your blog yaar....
@Rachel : Ya rachel you are correct.. Valid point.... Me too like same like gauda.. You know!!!!
"I don't know why they are seeing the cheer leaders from sex point of view."
This is a point in your post. Do you remember what you said in Rachel's blog for the post vibrator or something like that. I don't remember the post title well. Read your comments there. Cheer leaders will distract almost everyone in our country coz this is INDIA!!!!
@ROFL : Don't mix up the things yaar... That is different one and this is different one. In rachel's blog i said "Having sex at work place is not good and it is not acceptable too". You tell me my boy in America is the govt. is accepting the sex at work place yaar?.
Here the idea of cheer leaders is nice, but the thing is if they change their dressing style then it will look so fine. So many of us are watching sex scenes in movies and also in TV's. We are accepting those things and no one is opposing it. Here me too not standing against the cheer leaders and just suggested my point.
The thing that i said in Rachel's post is different from this yaar... Try to differentiate the things.
realy they rock da.....i hope our culture thing wont spoil ther presence
Siva, why should they change their dressing style? This is called cheerleading and happens in every part of the world. Only in India they are making a fuss. People want it. A few people like you and senior citizens from the Oliyum Oliyum era are against it. Majority wins, minority loses.
Oh God please tell me who is the...
I forgot to include 'sha boo three'.
I don't find anything wrong, "Cheer Leadering" must be a part of "sport".
A good debatable question would be
"Is Wasim Jaffer spoiling the T20 Culture?" :p
ROFL.
@Marc : Ya from your point of view you are correct. According to you the dressing style is fine. But according to me if they change the dressing style means then it will look so fine. I am not against that, am just suggesting my point.
At the same time am not from Oliyum Oliyum era my boy.....
Why they are using the girls as a source to gain money and to attract people? Why the men are not dressing glamorously?
Let us bring a new revolution by giving under wears to men who are dancing in the cheer leaders group.
@Visu : I accept your point dude.. But my suggested point is correct...
And your question is so funny!!!!
ROFL ROFL!!!1
@Selerines
You can't change any person's dressing style.
Okay imagine we Indian gals are going as cheer leaders to US or U.K. if that country people insist the gals to wear bikini, will our gals wear?
Why the men are not dressing glamorously? gone mad ah,which century are you in now?
@Rachel : Ya off course.. We have to change ourselves according to the respective countries taste and life style. Because it varies country to country. Not all the countries are having the same culture and customs.
We are living in India where the people will give so much importance to the culture and customs. Wearing T-Shirt in public is ok. But wearing some thing else in public, wont look nice yaar. I think you get my point...
As i already said in one of your posts "It is easy to tell, but hard to experience in real life".
In post i asked why they are using the girls as the only glamourous source. Why not the men? Whats the reason? Thats what i said let us bring a new revolution for the T20 culture by giving under wears to men in the cheer leaders group. This is my point.
See rachel, in cricket watching lots of sixes and fours is so much fun to us. At the same time watching the people who are dancing and entertaining us during that time will add so much to fun to the public. That and all ok mam. Even me too accept that... Cheer leaders concept is really a nice one...
But there is some constraint in each and every thing. Public place is not our home to behave in the way as we like. There are some things that we should follow in the public places mam.
Even in many abroad functions, our cinema artists weared sarees and participated in those functions. Why not yaar?
Foreign countries culture is nice, at the same time we should not forget our culture. We should give some respect to that. "Dress is the one which is used to close some of our body parts, which cant be shown to the external world".
So first get my point yaar........
Admit it, you fraud. You used that question as an excuse to post pictures of skimpily dressed women. I see through your moral posturing.
@Roshan : You can't even able to digest it, by seeing those skimpily dressed women in my blog. Then how it's possible for others in our country to digest it by seeing it in public.... That is what our culture.
If you like foreign culture means then try to see those pictures from normal point of view. Then there is no need for that word "Skimpily dressed women".
One more thing buddy "Selerines is not fraud". The reason why am posting these things here is, i wanna share my views with the future of India(Students). I wanna know what they are thinking.
If am fraud means, then BCCI is fraud, Sony TV Network is fraud, IPL is fraud... Ha ha.. Every thing is fraud!!!!
If news channels are showing the real things like this means, then it does not mean that "they are fraud". I think you confused....
What yaar?????
'Why not men dressed in underwear be cheer leaders?'
ROFL Bhuha.
Quite frankly, who wants to see men dancing in mankinis? Haiyo Haiyo..
And hey, why do worry if these girls themselves aren't ashamed of.
Nothing wrong, I repeat.
@Visu : You are correct da visu. but what am telling is... They won't feel ashamed for that, because they are from foreign countries. So thats not the matter for them. Here it's different case yaar. Read the comment that i posted to Rachel and Roshan. then you will get my point yaar...
Even me too accept that. But mine is correct na dude....
Sivakumar, what exactly do you mean by 'it will look nice'. You are talking about your own preference. I prefer women to be dressed scantily for cheerleading. Who is right? You or me? Neither of us is right. We just prefer different things. Stop imposing YOUR preference on everyone else.
Men are not glamourised because we live in a society controlled by men. Men have purchasing power and most of the decision making power and hence they are catered to.
Quote: But there is some constraint in each and every thing. Public place is not our home to behave in the way as we like. There are some things that we should follow in the public places mam.
That is your own opinion. Keep it to yourself. Close your eyes or walk away when you see something you don't like.
Quote: Foreign countries culture is nice, at the same time we should not forget our culture.
What is our culture? Who defines it? I am a citizen and so are you. But we have conflicting views about what our culture is. So what is it?
Quote: @Roshan : You can't even able to digest it, by seeing those skimpily dressed women in my blog. Then how it's possible for others in our country to digest it by seeing it in public.... That is what our culture.
You didn't understand what George meant. I assure you he and every other mail who looks at it can digest it and enjoy it.
If anyone is feeling ashamed of this they need to get out of their typical mentality and grow up.
'male', not 'mail'.
@Selerines
I get what your trying to say. What i am trying to say is that, if you don't prefer then just ignore it. Different people different opinion.
When a gal and guy do something awful in beach, what you do? do you give any lecture to them saying this is not our culture or so. Don't you just ignore them, just do that.
Why do you bother the public? Just turn your way and keep going, ignore the things which you can't bear it.
Ex: Don't we ignore our princi when he tries to scolds us in English haan.
Digest and enjoy it. Yes, like that. Well put. I do.
@Marc : Ya marc.. You are correct... Am not opposing your point yaar. At the same time am not imposing my own preference on any one yaar. Am just telling my suggestion thats it. As i already said from your point of view you are correct and from my point of view am correct.
First quote : Hmmm ya i accept your point....
Second quote : We are not having conflicting views about our culture. The main reason for this debate is, you are mixing up the Indian culture with Western culture. There is no any other reason for this yaar. Me too like the other countries culture and their customs. But at the same time there are some things that we can't accept and adopt it here. My first preference is to my Indian culture and then only to others. We will make a full debate on this in your blog post.
Third quote : Nice menatlity..... Keep it up yaar(s)....
Am not feeling ashamed, why should i feel like that. They itself are not feeling ashamed for that, then why should i?. I am just suggesting my view. Thats it.. No other reason.. Get my point yaar..
@Rachel : You are correct yaar... I think you people are misunderstood my points and views. See am not standing against the western culture, at the same time am not fully supporting our Indian culture. The thing that am stressing is "Compared to others mine is best". Even me too like some of the things from western culture like(Dresses, Gestures, Way of interacting with people and so on...)
But there are some things that we can't follow from them.
If you say "I can able to follow means then ok thats your view. Nothing wrong in that."
In beach, if they itself are not feeling ashamed for doing those things means, then why should i feel for that. Here too am just suggesting my point and view. Am not giving any lecture. Thats it!!!!
@Roshan : Digest and enjoy it.... Ha ha it's not the cinema to digest and enjoy. It's human life...
It's about time that our leaders realize that we can see all that and better using something called the internet. Will some one please educate them?
It's about time that our leaders realize that we can see all that and better using something called the internet. Will some one please educate them?
@Adithya : Nice to see you here buddy... Keep in touch here yaar!!!
Hey wat's this frnds.. jus the power shots of cricketers is enough to turn us on..y these cheer leaders..? unnecessarily importing them and raising so many controversies.. more over we cant request them 2 dress properly coz its their liberty.. all v can do is ban them.. Moreover ppl respect indians mainly 4 their CULTURE and again these intruders r exposing all thats nt needed and changing the motto behind watching cricket.. wel v must also remember tat its nt only adults watch cricket.. 4m 6 till 60 all age groups watch it and its nt fair on our part to support tis n spoil our budding generation..
Siva u are rite.. I support ur views ..
@Meenu : Nice yaar.. Keep in touch here....
George, you stole my thoughts there. I was just going to say "Sivakumar you #$#%, you took this as an opportunity to post the choiciest cheerleaders photos on your blog."
I'll start by asking Sivakumar why he thinks the photos on this post are necessary for the discussion ? If you think cheerleaders themselves are not required in cricket, then by that definition, you don't require their photos on your blog. Just as you want attention, those people want attention as well. If you think cheerleaders are alright if they are well dressed, why did you not post CSK cheerleaders ? Or Delhi Daredevils cheerleaders for that matter ?
Now this is called hypocricy. You want other people to follow certain norms, but the same does not apply to you. In a country full of people like you, there's no hope. I am not kidding either. I am serious about my accusations here.
On a more jovial note, you know what the solution is ? Lets not have these cheerleaders dancing and cheering when the cricket is going on. That's boring and it doesn't go well. Let's give them dedicated slots before and after matches. That way, we can all stay sane and miss the cricket and digest it. :D
@Bharath,
Nice. You are the only guy who seemed to think staying here will affect them. :)
@Marc,
Hit the nail there.
@Visu,
Yea, Jaffer's got to go.
@Sivakumar,
"Why they are using the girls as a source to gain money and to attract people? Why the men are not dressing glamorously? "
Why did you have pictures of women on your blog ? If I remember rightly, there were male cheerleaders too. Where are their pics ? Now, you are saying you will post them only if they strip ?
"Let us bring a new revolution by giving under wears to men who are dancing in the cheer leaders group."
Psst...News for you. They are already wearing them.
Rachel made a valid point saying "If you go abroad, you want the freedom to wear you clothes."
To which you replied,"Even in many abroad functions, our cinema artists weared sarees and participated in those functions. Why not yaar? "
That's exactly the point she was making wasn't she ? When our cinema artists go abroad, will they be alright if they are asked to wear only skimpy clothes ? (Not to mention the disaster it will cause in those countries.)
"Foreign countries culture is nice, at the same time we should not forget our culture. "
All I have to say is, WTF ?
"Dress is the one which is used to close some of our body parts, which cant be shown to the external world" (thanks for the quotes there)
So why do we see naked ladies in temples ?
Skimpily dressed women are called skimpily dressed in all CULTURES. The only point of view from where they might not ppear skimpily dressed is aerial view. (wait, thinking about it, maybe not. :D)
Yes, George does seem to be confused in the midst of your comments. Poor guy. I hope he finds his way out.
When cheer leaders were there in T20 world cup, no one objected to it. It was still being televised. Now that it's our territory, we all want to bark.
On an ending note, in a country where our leaders are screwed up, lets screw the cheer leaders. Oops, I meant let them be. :)
I forgot to mentiom. Some of those aren't even T20 IPL cheerleader there in your photos. You fraud!!
You just wanted a skin show. Why not make it a slideshow and add it to your widgets ? You'll get more hits for sure.
(also, the naked ladies in temples was supposed to mean the depictions, paintings and statues. Just clarifying. :) )
@Kartik : First comment : Hare yaar..... Again don't talk like that... You go and see the comment that i given to Roshan.... Sssshhuuuuuuu!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Second comment : Why did you have pictures of women on your blog ? If I remember rightly, there were male cheerleaders too. Where are their pics ? Now, you are saying you will post them only if they strip?
Understand my question there... In the cheer leaders group men are not dressing in a glamorous way. These b*****rs are using the girls as an source to attract people and to gain more money from ***. Before the T20 culture, we enjoyed the cricket lot more without these type of cheer leaders concept.. Why can't we now? What's the reason for this sudden change? Understand my views first my dear friend kartik. Am not going to gain any thing from this, thru posting it. If i wanna enjoy them means there are so many ways to me. Again am saying read the comment that i given to Roshan. Then you will get my view.
"Let us bring a new revolution by giving under wears to men who are dancing in the cheer leaders group."
Psst...News for you. They are already wearing them.
Where? Can you show me an example??????
Third comment : You just wanted a skin show. Why not make it a slideshow and add it to your widgets ? You'll get more hits for sure. The above point is too much irritating to read>>> For WTF you are telling like that.. Am not that much cheaper to have that kind of stupid mentality..... Why should i put the slide shows of those womens to increase the hits in my blog. No need for me..... Before commenting, think twice or thrice and then comment... Ok?
ROFL.
Nowhere in your comment (where you have quoted my comments abundantly), have you answered even one of them satisfactorily.
Accept it, you are a hypocrite.
You'd make a good politician. :) They never answer questions posed at them directly. You seem to have that trait. :) No offence of course. :D
@Kartik : Read my comment clearly buddy.... I answered ur questions upto my level best....
ROFL again.
Those pictures are not particularly crude or sexy, compared with those we see everywhere on house walls, papers or TV in France ;)
As a stranger to indian culture, I may have no opinion about what could "spoil" it.
But what I can ask, is : what do standard indian women think about showing such pictures ? And when, a few dozens of years later maybe, nude girls will be shown anywhere in India, will they consider it a good thing or will they feel, like many many western women (and more and more western men ;) that the female body became a mere thing, used and abused just to sell products, dispising female dignity ?
Of course, if nude men are shown too... the debate would be about human dignity, at the most ;)
@Fantôme de Lune : I think India may change its mentality and mindset after some time and become like other western countries.. Hmmm i think so!!!! Thanks for commenting in my blog friend... Keep in touch here....
@ Karthick
Here v r discussing abt the cheer leaders and so their pics r necessary 4 the discussion.. and therez no harm in show casing their (choicest) pictures… quoting pics and letting ppl knw is an easiest way to make ppl understand things.. that’s all .. and nt 2 get attention.. As u mentioned male and CSK/DD cheerleaders pics r nt posted coz their pics r nt relevant 2 our discussion..
Then coming to ur very serious note. Here he jus letting others knw wat he feels and doesn make it a rule 4 others 2 obey. Also he feels wat’s wrong if v enjoy T20 without cheerleaders. This no way becomes hypocrisy.
@ Fantôme de Lune
what do standard indian women think about showing such pictures ? A standard Indian women feels its nt required and a standard Indian man wants 4 more.
“female body used and abused” jus to stop all these in India ancestors ve defined culture and wants ppl 2 follow. Also they protest when therez any violation.
@Meenu : Ya friend you are right.. Thanx for supporting my views... Keep in touch here... You don't have blog ha?
No I not having blog but so what ya.you have gf ah ya
i dont think it will actually SPOIL the indian culture... man... its actually fun to have half naked girl.. which will actually make the player high..hahahaha and also the audience... hahaha ..maybe it is u who r too distracted with these girls.. haha seriously..i dont think it spoils the indian culture...i hope what i said is acceptable...
@link
You are absolutely correct. It is just sports and everything you should take in a good manner. Thats what Sportiveness. Dont think about the culture and other bloody politicians.
