Indian Student Shot Dead
One more Indian Girl "Tummala Soumya Reddy, the 23-year-old MS student in Southern Illinois University, Chicago in U.S" was killed on Sunday morning in America. As I already pointed out in one of my blog posts, Are the Indian Students really safe in America? Here we really have to question about the amount of security that American Government is giving to all the students. In this post I am expecting some American Blogger's to submit their comments.

How can you protect someone from random incidents like these? You can't expect the government to assign a personal guard for you. American Universities have in place so many security options for students, particularly women. There is campus police department that assists you if you are stuck in some location of the campus and need help. They assign a police officer to accompany you to any location on campus. Off campus, you need to watch your back and avoid places after dark.
i think its safer here in the philippines. a lot of indian study here in AIM Philippines.
Its sad. Yesterday a student in my country was kidnapped and burned to death even after the ransom was paid. People nowadays are getting more and more desperate for money.
Omg.. Tats blatant foolishness, thought the govt can't do anything about it!!
P.S: Do check out my blog and leave your comments.. Also I've linked up to you, and you can do the same if you like it too!
That's a pretty bad news. I have to say racism is everywhere. Worst, it is displayed violently.
Take care always my friend.
Yes, racism is the main problem.
Showing it this way is too horrible, I say.
We have to be realistics and understand the danger we have and try to avoid it or minimise the exposures.
I feel really bad about this I have not heard anything in the news here about this. Gosh I feel so bad for the girl and her family.
I wonder if she was killed just because she was from India or from some other reason.
I have not heard of any groups of people who just go out and kill people because they are from India. Of course, I would not have any reason to seek out people who kill people because they are from India.
I pray one day people will not feel that killing another is right for any reason.
