INDIA : Unity in Diversity....??????

Every one of us should say "We are proud to be an Indian" and all of us are delighted about that. We are so much proud of our country because of the achievements that we have met so far within a span of around 60 years. I/We learned this thing "India is the country of Unity in Diversity". Actually i want to know one thing here. Can any one of you clear it for sake of me????? What is the exact meaning for this sentence "Unity in Diversity"? My teachers taught me that the real meaning is "Feeling of oneness and Unity among the people of a country where all citizen irrespective of any culture live together peacefully by helping each other in needy situations". At this point i wanna share one important thing here. You people should not mistake me here... The thing is " Am proud to be an Indian but at the same time am very much proud to be an Tamilian". Because the reason is Tamil Nadu is the only state which helped all states at all time when the help was really needed for Ex : Gujarat Earthquake disaster. But the things that are happening now in our country like,

1.) Quarrel between Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. ( Water & Border problem)
2.) Problem that was created by the politicians between Marathi's and North Indians.
3.) Dam problem between TN and Kerala.

And so on................
Our teachers taught us that we should help others when the help was really needed and that is the real meaning for that sentence "Unity in Diversity". That is what all we know. But see here..... The politicians are creating problems between people for their benefit. They are using the illiteracy of our people as a weapon. Even though we are proud to be an Indian, by seeing all these stupid things that are happening around us in our country, i am feeling really shame...... Sorry to say this.... I don't know when we will get the answer for all these questions?

Is India the country of "UNITY IN DIVERSITY"?????????

Come on Gubaa!!
You are a citizen of India and you come to know clearly about our country so lately.

Things are hard to change here.We should blame the fucking politics.

It happens everywhere, not just in India. Worldover, all that matters is who has more muscle power to shape policies and opinions.

Supposing we had one LCD projector in our college, which dept do you think should have it ?

Muscle power matters dude.

And, it's not like you think. There's not always enough resources. Got to fight for them.And sometimes the fight becomes nasty.

Politics is everywhere. It's not just politicians. Try choosing a spot for your get together. There will be politics!! Half the guys wouldn't agree with the other half.

It's just a friggin quality all humans have. Indians especially so. (Me included)

Gubba or Buhaa whatever? Our politician's only say everything but nothing in action, expect very few people. As said they are trying to choose some place o show their power. can't help it man.

@ Naresh : Why dude? Why you are not proud to be an Tamilian.....? Whats wrong in that?

Selerines said...

@Kartik : I don't care about other countries that whether they are having these type of problems or not.... Am caring about my country..... You are telling that "It happens everywhere". Tell me some example my boy.... Even though we are telling that "Our country is of Unity in Diversity" then why these type of problems arises here. Whats the reason for that? We don't have any sense ha? If politicians are arising all these stupid things means then why people are joining the hands in these type of stupid things. Why? They don't have any knowledge ha....?

1.) Karnataka is having enough resource, then why they are not sharing that?
2.) What is the reason for marathi's problem with north indians?

For what reason we all are fighting here... Is this thing happens in America? Is the New York people are protesting against New Jersey people? Clear it out.....

Selerines said...

@Rachel: If you all tell like this means.... Then what will be the answer for those people who are suffering there by the problems like Water, Border and so on.... When we will get the answer for all these questions???

I am sure you want a magic solution to it. There isn't one. I know you feel strongly about country and all that and that's fine. But why should there be national borders then ? Isn't the concept of countries itself flawed then ?

You want examples ? How about US bombing Iraq just so that they can use their oil resources ? Now how would you like Karnataka bombing you ?

You are talking about Marati N.Indians problem. You want me to give you other examples don't you ?Ever heard of immigration in the US and how strongly people there fell about it ? You are taking away their jobs. Ever heard of Holocaust ?

And who the hell told you Karnataka has enough resources ? Tamil Nadu has equal resources.Don't make silly assumptions.

Also, assuming this is not for elections (well, I can't comment on that coz I can't be sure.)Karnataka Govt is just trying to work for the interest of their people. Would you like to share your steel with China ? States have a certain level of autonomy as well.

America is not Wonderland. There are differences between states there as well.

Well, I am not sure if this exact thing happens in America, as I have not been there yet. But when I do , ill "clear it out."

pullarikutha...proud be an indian

@ Kartik : Hmmm.... Listen here...

1.) We are not talking about country to country problems....
2.) Our country is divided into states to reduce the administration complexity... Tats y all states are separated and divided by borders...
3.) Who said karnataka is not having enough resources..... They are having but they are willing to give it.... They are not ready to accept the court's judgement...
4.) If we have enough resource then we can give it to others... So if we have enough steel then we can surely give it to China... No probs in that..
5.) Don't worry about other country.. First we will try to see our back and then others... Ok?

Selerines said...

@bharath : Be serious da.... this is important topic... Which is creating a bad name for India in this competitive world.... Americans are asking us the questions.. Why your country is having these type of state problems...? Whats the answer for this Mr. Bharath?

Selerines said...

@Kartik : Actually Champ the following comment is from a unknown person who commented in my blog... That blog is an unofficial one.... The comment is....

* O O O!! KARTHIK!! Cut it out!! really

We are not asking any resource from Karnataka,the sad thing is that they are protesting against, us using our own resource.The stupid politicians can't even find a good reason to pick up a dispute with T.N. and to get some vote.

You are concentrating more on attacking Sivakumar, rather than talking about the issue.The Karnataka Govt., is not willing to give us our share of the Kaveri water,even though the supreme has ordered several times. If a state Govt., itself is not willing to obey the supreme courts order, then WTF is going on. We give the water share to the Kerala as per the Supreme court's order and most of the states does share the resoures with one and another.... Reply for this also champ....

@Selerines, this is happening for ages man. Still no solution.

The only thing we can do is to appoint well-educated people in politics, where this ppl respect law and order ( but not all i guess ). Atleast they think of consequences of the problem.Politics is politics no other word can replace it.

@selerines

Well even if you care about this you can do nothing. This will remain like this forever in our country. No chances of changing.

Selerines said...

@Rachel : Students should come to politics... No other way yaar.... Then only we can able to save our country from these people who are doing fucking politics...... Cha.....

Selerines said...

@Vinod : If all tell like this... It's better change all the things.. India is not the country on Unity in Diversity.. There is no culture and customs in India..... And so on.....

@Stranger,

None of my comment(s) have been directed at Shivakumar. Ah, we do have a bit of fun pulling each others' legs, but I doubt if I did that, here either. Well, if you know me and Shivakumar, then I don't see why you shouldn't have used your actual name. My comment would have been no different from this one. (Don't worry, I will not challenge your courage and all that. :) )

And nowhere have I said that what Karnataka is doing is right. I was merely concentrating on assumptions about certain things people had/have.

Ok, now we go and see our backs after which we will go see others' backs. Off you all go.

'Unity in Diversity' stands only in writing. Maybe, it meant something to people decades ago but not anymore. It's all right to have fights such as these as long as people don't start a mutiny against the government. We are not in utopia to enjoy a perfect world. Let's hope common sense prevails.

Selerines said...

@Kartik : Hi dude.... Don't worry about what others say.. We both are maintaining a nice relationship from first semester onwards... We both are friends yaar... So you share your views frankly here... Don't hesitate for any thing.... Answer my comment da Champ...

Selerines said...

@Arun : Ya.. You are correct dude.....

@Shivakumar,

Well, as long as you don't think I am directing my comments at you, I'm fine with it. I don't have anything against you afterall. :)

But, then that doesn't mean I'll agree with everything you think or say.

Also, I believe in the concept of one (an individual , a group like engineers or even a nation) being self critical when we are talking amongst ourself.

Your sharing steel analogy is terribly flawed. Steel isn't a natural resource nor does it flow through different lands.

The problem with India is the diversity. Anyone who tells you otherwise is just showing gethu.

Indian politics is the most worst thing in the world. The reason why we have this problem is politics @ Politicians.
