In spite of many wrong things that are going in India like foreigners rapes, robberies, polluted atmosphere and so on, many people like this country a lot because of some reason. I want to know that through this post.
Do you like India?
Why you like it a lot?
I would rate the Culture & Tradition on the top of my list of reasons. I guess that is one major difference we have from the west. The bonding in the society, the Values & Virtues etc. are not so prominent abroad (Atleast that's what I feel!)
ReplyDeleteI'm not the orthodox "Anti-Abroad" Indians, but I do feel that India is by far the best place to stay (Not according to the facilities etc though).
Oh n check my post on a similar topic (About young students leaving India for a better future..)
Been a bit busy, so didn't comment before. Will be more regular now ;)
What I like about India...
ReplyDeleteHunky Bollywood actors and beautiful Bollywood actress. =O I'm honest.
Second, it's tasty and delicious spicy food!
biggest reason of liking India is being an Indian.
ReplyDeleteand abt the options all of them. coz all of them hav gud things abt it and bad things in it and tats wat is the truth.
Why I dislike India
ReplyDelete1. Culture:
Building temples in the middle of roads, on pavements. Blocking roads and taking over roads to construct stages for religious festivals, littering kilometers of roads with flower petals to mourn the death of loved ones...
Spitting, defecating in public spots and roads. Prevalence
2. Tradition:
Arranged marriage, child marriage, dowry, mistreatment of widows, superstition in all forms of life
3. Music:
Inexplicably linked to cinema, many instances of copied tunes from foreign songs, younger generation's disinterest with Carnatic music
4. Ancient Places:
Badly maintained and poorly promoted, only the most famous are worth visiting.
5. Atmosphere:
Most areas are unsafe for women and children after dark, queues and people everywhere
6. People:
Glorification of hooliganism through cinema, diversity often creates regional and religious conflict every single day, thugs/politicans hold real power
7. Others
Obsession with cricket at the cost of all other sports and games, poor pace of technological improvements, incompetence in all fields... to many to list.
i like india because of its culture. it has kept its most precious culture making it a very interesting place. i hope that i get to see your place in the future.
ReplyDeleteI don't like India much coz women are always suppressed there for some reason or the other.
